Happy Happy New Year for V. Lenoirre & Variposa!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to say Happy New Year! May your 2015 be successful and the best yet! Remember the good times and the goodness around you. Don't dwell on the wrongs or fails of the past, those are lessons to keep in mind and those lessons should inspire us to work on improving ourselves and our lives. In life, we are given chances and we should take them and choose to do what is right. Here I am wearing Noel by Just Darling. Thank you to Gabriella Karillion! You rock, girl! She is one of the sweetest women I know in SL and I'm proud to call her my friend. Also, some news from me is that my business is being re-branded as Variposa. Variposa is a play on the Spanish word mariposa which means "butterfly". Like the butterfly, I have grown into what I am now. I know I still have room to grow. The "vari" part is from the word variety. I try to have a variety of positions and styles in my poses. I can do emo, stylish, even role play. I believe th

Unconventional Christmas pose...Driven to Tears

Hi lovelies! Sorry for the late response. It's a busy time of year. I'm here with a new pose. I thought about what to do for Christmas besides winter landscapes. As you know by now, I am a huge fan of Sting AKA Gordon Sumner. The song Driven to Tears might have been one of the youtube suggestions for me. I adore Youtube. The song is about poverty and it asks us how we react to it. What do we do to help? Christmas is a time for charity and helping others. I hope you all know just how lucky you are to live in a warm home and be with family. There are always people worse off than we are. Are we doing enough to help them? Winter is harsh and the nights can be hardest for the homeless on the street or for the orphans living in orphanages or in foster homes. Things we have should never be taken for granted. How can you say that you're not responsible? What does it have to do with me? What is my reaction, what should it be? Confronted by this latest atrocity Driven t

Haunted from the Fifty Shades of Grey movie...

Hey everyone! Back with a new release. I saw the latest trailer for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie and I was inspired to create a new pose set. As you know, there's a lot of BDSM material in the book. So...this is my first BDSM pose set ever. And I'm nervous about it...it's unknown territory for me and I want to get the flavor and tone of BDSM in it. I call it Haunted after the Beyonce song that plays in the trailer. Beyonce has an amazing, distinctive voice. The Fifty Shades of Grey series follows Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele as they explore their love and relationship with a mix of vanilla sex and BDSM. I was inspired by a picture from the movie filming from google images. The movie will be in theaters by Valentine's day. Are you looking forward to it? The lead actor, Jamie Dornan (Sheriff Graham from Once Upon a Time series) has stated that he won't appear in the movie completely naked. But I'm really interested in how Jamie portrays th

Dressing like an Indian, great ethnic wear from Zaara

Hi friends and followers! I wanted to show you a cool outfit I put together this week. I am a big fan of the Indian culture, the ones in Asia. I actually grew up watching Bollywood/Hindi movies starring Aishwarya Rai, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and other talented Indian actors. They wear such elaborate outfits when they dance or when they sort of sing...a person behind the scenes is doing all the singing. If you pay attention, the vocals in pretty much every film sounds the same. It's like how Marni Nixon sang Natalie Wood's songs and Audrey Hepburn's songs for West Side Story and My Fair Lady in American musicals, even Christopher Plummer was dubbed in The Sound of Music. He hated it but the arrangement worked out well and it made him look more handsome, I think. It made him appear even more dignified than he already was. I posed at The Trace on the last day it was open. Minutes after I arrived Kylie Jaxxon sent a sim notice that the sim would be closing soon. I am sad th

November is here and last thoughts on October...

Hi everyone! I apologize for being quiet on here. October has been busy for me in RL and SL. Last month I was excited about the Mystic Realms Faire and I started a Legendary Ladies photo series. I will have more coming. I love the outfits Kouse's Sanctum, Pure Poison, and The Muses came out with. I went to the Faire about 3 times, a record for me. I don't usually shop a lot but I found lots of goodies. The photos are on my flickr . Lovely Iseult So I've been busy showing off outfits and buying poses. My favorite pose brand of the month is Di's Opera. She is partnered to July Raymaker of Manifeste and I thought, "How cool!" I will check out Manifeste soon. Di Hoorenbeek has some great avant garde poses. Mystical Princess Aurora Another bit of SL news, I started doing custom animation work again. I'm happy about it and this time will be better. I will limit the number of clients I take on. Before Halloween I was approached by Meli Imako&#

Disturbia For Two released!

Hi everyone, are you ready for Halloween? I'm not but I'm preparing for it. No wonder on what I'll be for Halloween in SL. I will post a pic or two when I do know. Thanks for those who follow me on flickr, really appreciate it and I love following others on flickr. So my latest is another Halloween pose only it's for 2 avatars! I missed doing couple poses. It's always a challenge but when I get it about right, it's so very rewarding. I hope you like it! I wanted to add to my Disturbia collection. So far there is Disturbia, Disturbia 2, and now this is 3! Can I get in a 4? Let's see... If you notice, the female avatar is wearing the exact same thing as in the other releases. The new element is Julio. He has made his comeback, complete with a few upgrades. I decided to give him an edgy look. The red eye makeup really grabs the attention and brings the focus onto his handsome face. Him: skin: Clef de Peau Martin T5 by Marcopol Oh (brilliantly do

Disturbia 2 pose is out!

Hi lovelies! I'm back with a new pose. It was created last month but I hadn't gotten around to taking a photo and packaging it for sale. Real life makes everyone busy, you know? Disturbia 2 is also inspired by Rihanna's Disturbia song. I remember hearing it every day at the gym when I would walk in to start my workout. It has a great beat to get the heart pumping and it got me going even on a groggy morning. This pose signified disturbia to me because it shows a person feeling confused and disturbed in their mind. The hand over the forehead suggests distress and pain. If you want to cover the hand with hair, I recommend you try a voluminous hair like TRUTH Vixen or Lelutka Blythe. I liked this hair and it just felt right to use it again. It is the same hair I used in my first Disturbia pose. I shot this pose at H220 , a sim created by Miuccia Klaar and Squonk Levenque. It will be gone by October 31st, sad news. I think it's the best rain sim I've ever bee

Disturbia pose

Hi everyone! I know it's not October yet, but I thought I'd get started on holiday poses. This is a Halloween pose, Disturbia. I thought I'd get a head start. This has always been one of my favorite songs by Rihanna. The music video is really cool. I like the makeup, the hair, and just the overall eerie feel to it. Getting the concept for this pose was very difficult. I didn't want it to look like just another scary pose. I played around in blender. I also thought about body positions in weird videos and films. So this is what I came up with. Styling: hair: *ARGRACE* Hikari browns eyes: IKON eye & lip makeup: Madrid Solo Insanity Plea shirt: {dolle} long sleeved ripped t-shirt pants: IAF Ripped jeans shoes: NyDesigns Here on marketplace . I will be releasing a video soon. So stay tuned! Vic Go here Go Back To This Site

First ever V. Lenoirre promo video!

Hey, there! You will not believe this! Besides poses, I can now create videos in SL! Locations and credits are found in the video. I can see this becoming a regular thing for me. I had fun prepping and filming it. And can you believe I spent hours editing the video just for an over 3 minute clip? It sounds incredible but video editing can be challenging. I have so much more respect for people who edit and create videos now. It definitely has its challenges. Have a great rest of the week and I hope to be back here with a new pose soon! What is she wearing in September BOSL 2014?

Hi everyone! So I was featured in an interview in the September 2014 Issue of Best of SL Magazine. It was an excellent interview written by CompE Lockwood and photos were by LarryB Writer. At least one woman wondered about what I was wearing in one of the photos. I was in a rush to style for it and I styled every outfit by myself. So I decided to post what I was wearing on my blog. hair: Lelutka Kate in Overcooked shade dress: Mon Cheri Sachi Flare Dress Milk shoes: NyD Slink heels To read the interview online go here . Am I wrong? by V. Lenoirre

Hi everyone! So I've been working hard. I will have a bit more free time now. This latest pose is inspired by the song, Am I wrong by Nico & Vinz. I love the music video for it. The melody and the lyrics are really contemplative. The ambience is unique. After much thought I decided I wanted to make it a pose that could go well with a car or a counter. Jules is a good friend of mine and I decided that I really wanted to show off with one of her latest cars, the 2000 GT. This pose has attitude and poise. There's a defiant tilt to the chin and the positioning of the neck. The arms are supporting her as is the bent knee. Nico's song really resonated with me. He asks some good questions about what society expects of him like why he should not think outside the box. Growing up, I would question people around me and I still do. Is it wrong to wonder about the world and people? Am I wrong for thinking out the box from where I stay? Am I wrong for saying that I

What do you want from me? Latest from V. Lenoirre.

Hello everyone! I hope you all are well. It's August already...wow! Summer went by so fast. I hope you all have enjoyed it and will continue to enjoying it until Fall arrives. I'm always sad when summer ends. I'm back with a new pose. I call it What do you want from me...pose. It is inspired by a song by Adam Lambert. I saw a photo and I thought of that song. What do you want from me... pose is edgy and elegant. That glance towards the camera can be one of frustration, anger, despair...and you may want to try wearing an emote HUD. At one time in our lives at least we have felt like our efforts toward a goal are useless. We don't know what to do or say. We don't know if we want to keep trying or to just give up. It can work for women or men. And I did shorten my shape. So if you're 7' or taller, you will need to get shorter. With this pose my focus was on the top half, the eyes and the arms and torso. I have wanted to do a pose with a car for a

What now?

Hey everyone! I am back for a bit with a new pose. I call it What Now. The inspiration is Rihanna's What now song. What now is about frustration and wanting to scream. Do you ever feel like that? This song really made me feel sad about the loves I lost or didn't pursue in the past. People can disappoint you just when you think you have them figured out sometimes. In time, you hope you understand and things work out in your favor. Styling for this was fun. The hair is from Hair Fair 2014. I didn't visit as many times as I wanted but I did find this nice style. I kept the notecard of stores who participated so I will check them as time allows. For this shoot I actually wore jewelry and nails. It's a big deal for me. I usually focus on hair and the outfit. The nails are for regular hands so you don't need to wear Slink hands. They're from MANDALA. Bangles and necklace are from Maxi Gossamer. The bangles are 2 different sets. The sandals are made

Newness coming soon!

Hey everyone! Sorry for being inactive. Life has been busy. I will have something new out soon! I've started to get back to styling and tinkering this weekend. I'm eager to  get back in the groove again. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Be you and be happy! Love, Vic xo Go here Go Back To This Site

Happy 4th!

I hope you all had a great holiday, those in the US. Have a great weekend everyone! I needed a break from creating. Soon I will be back with more poses. Here's a photo I finished yesterday. For days I've been practicing my photo editing skills. Progress is slow but it's different than from what I did before. Can you see how the skin looks smoother? Desk chair is from epia. Eyes are Madrid Solo. Hair is DeLa Mia. Happy 4th! :) Vic Go here Go Back To This Site

Desert Rose 3 is out now!

Hey everyone! Great news, I have released Desert Rose 3. I created it last month but I did not want to release it without the silk scarf. Making the scarf this time was harder than I expected. It is 8 prims. I have included a notecard with the positioning that worked for me. You can move it up or to the right or left, but it should probably be in the same area or around the same area. I love that song by Sting. It's exotic and it calls to me. It's beautiful and so profound. There might be more in the series. If you've been following my progress for awhile you'll know that Desert Rose is my first ever pose series. It's a fabulous song that just inspires me. There are so many songs I'd like to cover and I have so many ideas and outfits I want to get. Sadly, there isn't enough money to get them all. Haha but I manage well enough. I'm wearing another great outfit from ~Soedara~. Marbella does great with the silks and the jewelry. I know I will vi

Princess of China pose now on Marketplace!

Hi everyone! I wanted to let you know that Princess of China is now at Marketplace ! https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Princess-of-China-pose-by-V-Lenoirre/6112428 I just needed some time for myself. One only has a birthday once a year, twice if you count that you have it once in Asia and then again on the North America side. I'm working on a new pose. I will post pics when I can. Have a great weekend! Victoria Lenoirre Go here Go Back To This Site

Princess of China pose coming soon! and birthday

Hi friends and supporters,                                                                                                                              I'm back with a brand new pose just in time for my birthday in RL. I want to celebrate my heritage and celebrate the ancient Chinese culture. With over five thousand years of culture, the Chinese have really established themselves in the world as a country to earn respect and awe for their achievements and successes. I have also been learning Mandarin for many years. Though it is one of the most difficult languages to learn, it has proved to be a worthwhile experience. I am proud of my heritage. I am not ashamed of who I am anymore. People can hate me for being different but it can never change who I am. No one is less for being what they are.                                                                                                                                      I was also inspired by the Coldplay song Princ

Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You

Hi lovelies! I am happy to be back at creating. Has it been a week? It seems like longer. In both RL and SL I have been sooo busy. Despite that, I have been tweaking and looking for clothing and pose ideas whenever I can. You got to make the most out of the time you have, right? This latest is a couple's pose. It's always a challenge to get the limbs to fit well but it is a nice change from always doing single poses. In my opinion, couple poses can have more depth. You have two avatars to convey a mood to the viewer. My work isn't remarkable, but I keep trying. The challenge and the unknown element are what keep me trying. I never know how the photos will turn out. As they say, "I just wing it." Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You was inspired by two songs. There's the famous song by Frankie Avalon, also featured in Ten Things I Hate About You. Then there's a song from the movie Closer, The Blower's Daughter by Damien Rice. This might be more b

Crash and Burn is released

Hi lovelies, I am finally back with a new release. I call it Crash and Burn after the song by Australian Pop duo Savage Garden. They were one of my favorite bands in the late 90s. I love the lyrics. And it's a meaningful song to me. The song is so emotional. It's about a person who feels like they just are crashing. It is the singer who is telling the person that he will be there for them "when you need to crash, crash and burn you're not alone." It's a ground sit/ground crouch. You'll notice how red my face and chest looks. I'm wearing a series of face and chest tattoos to simulate how beat up I feel, in body and mind. Life will beat us down but we need to remember that there will always be someone to bring us back from the darkness. We are never alone. I love to be dramatic with my look. Plus I don't know if you can tell but I am wearing a new skin. It is a skin from Al vulo! It's a beautiful skin and I really love all of her sk

Feeling Good pose and about Pose Fair

Hi lovelies, Pose Fair ended on the 3rd. Turn out this year was great. However, I didn't feel like I got enough visibility. So I plan to take part in at least one other sales event this year. Hopefully I will appear in a few more blogs. I just finished a new pose, a request from a client. I hardly do any pose requests but he was kind and I thought I'd give it a try. I renamed his pose, Feeling Good. To me this pose shows the confident, curvy woman and how comfortable she is in her own skin. She feels really good about herself. I believe in women being assertive and being very sure in their ability and in who they are. It's hard to be yourself when there are so many pressures and demands imposed on us in our daily lives. But somehow, we all do find out who "me" or "I" am. Why? Because we cannot separate the ego from ourselves, it is so deeply ingrained in our sense of self and in our consciousness. I hope all of you, women AND men can feel good

Pose Fair 2014

Hey all, Pose Fair 2014 is ending soon. It ends May 3rd. So sorry I didn't get to post about it sooner. RL got to me. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Desiderium/21/102/257 Above is the entrance to my spot. The sim is black. The theme is night with the stars. Rubystarlight Writer even had star particles. This is her first time chairing Pose Fair. I added in rose petals on the floor. I have two exclusive poses. Glory of Love and Kiss you all over. Below is the note on parchment that I placed on the floor for visitors to see. Next to it is a red quill. It's a great event. Hopefully next year the builds won't be so dark. Thanks for the support! Save me...and feeling helpless

Hi all! I am glad to be back once again with a new pose. I will be creating more regularly now that I have an internet connection once again. For awhile I have been feeling hopeless and like I wanted to be saved. Save me pose is partly inspired by the song, Save me by Remyzero. The song was the theme from Smallville. That show started out great but somewhere down the line it started getting weird. I don't know...maybe when Jimmy Olson was killed off I began to lose interest. Anyway, the song has always struck a deep chord in me. I felt the pain and helplessness in it....that overwhelming urge to be saved by a hero/heroine and just fly away. At some point in our lives, we want to find escape and peace inside ourselves. If we just reach out and ask, help will come. Being silent and moaning in our heads never helped. I am the brooding type and I know that I can only get better if I tell another person that I'm not feeling okay. It is okay to admit when we're not fe

Kiss You All Over...mixing the old with the new

Hi lovelies! I'm pleased to have finished a new couple pose. It is my last exclusive set for Pose Fair! I have been thinking and thinking about what to show at that huge event and this is what I have come up with. I am so very very excited! It won't be in my store until May 3rd. I was inspired by the the song Kiss you all over, sung by Exile.  My theme for Pose Fair is about passion and wild love. This song really inspired me to try to capture the ardent regard a man has for his woman. He just wants to hold her and kiss her "till the night closes in." This is my first product photo that is in black and white. I wanted to highlight the closeness of the couple. The shadows stand out more. Black and white forces the viewer to focus more on shape and form. Sometimes color can distract too much from the model. Many of the best photos have a limited range of colors in them. Julio is wearing a new skin from Aeros, Teghran. Pi  Rain released it at Skin Fair wh

Virtuous Gown by Paisley Daisy

Hi everyone! I am officially back from my hiatus. It has been hard being in SL from tablet and not being able to take photos or upload. Today I got this new dress from Paisley Daisy , created by the talented joeylin. Do check out her store! As you can see, it is a lovely design in white lace. The detail on this gown is so exquisite and fine. This floor length design can be worn with or without shoes. I chose to be barefoot on the large lily pads outside my brother's house. Here I am just standing on the lily pads in the water. Fortunately I didn't have to dig around much for a nice updo. The hair I'm wearing is a hair from last year. I just love EXILE hair. Long hiatus

Sorry for not updating, everyone! I lost my laptop due to the network card dying. I am getting a new system this week. I have been on my tablet for a week or so. I expect to be back with new releases by this weekend or next week! I'm crossing my fingers! Vic Go here Go Back To This Site

Take a bow...and a fedora

Hi lovelies, March 8th is Women's Day, did you know that? A friend told me. I hope all you women felt especially valued that day. Since Cinderella Beautiful, I've started to pay attention to epia. Verone has some great designs. I got his suit from The Men's Dept for Julio, my malt. He just released a fedora; it is mesh and its position can be edited through the Edit menu. You can also resize it by touching it for a menu. The menu even has a color change option. I knew I had to buy it. This hat is unisex too. I might get another one for Vic. :-) When I see or think of a fedora I am reminded of men like Humphrey Bogart or Clark Gable, men who are polite and charming. They might tip their hat to a lady they walk past on the street. This pose is for the men. I call it Take A Bow. It might fit for women too. There's just something so appealing when a man tips his hat and bows at the waist to a woman. A woman feels beautiful and respected. In this day and age,

Ready To Go and being active in life

Hi lovely people! I'm so thankful for all the feedback and support I've gotten from my friends and admirers over the years. My latest is dedicated to those who are actively living and reaching for the good in life. Ready To Go is a song by Panic! At The Disco. It's a very upbeat song with a happening beat and few lyrics. The rhythm and beat really get me going every time I hear it. The beat reminds me of marching forward. We always have to be moving and we need to be versatile and flexible. There are some that believe we should just focus on one task but that is not always possible. From my education in the US, I learned that I was expected to know a variety of subjects and at least become proficient in them. On any day, I would have several things to do. We are encouraged to be "well-rounded" from a young age. We are taught to accept many responsibilities and duties. So this is a pose about being proactive in life. She is ready to get moving. She is rea

Can't remember to forget you...and Prism Designs

Hello there, I am back with another pose. I'm finding that I'm creating faster. The most time consuming part besides putting together the look is setting up the shoot. I need to decide how I want to shoot. Then later I look for a font. I like the variety of fonts I can choose from. My newest pose is Can't Remember To Forget You....song is sung by Shakira and features Rihanna. It's an upbeat, soulful song. They sing well together. Both ladies are sexy and have distinctive voices that are instantly recognizable. The song is about not remembering to let a man go. The woman is just so used to the man that he has become a part of her existence. She would do anything for him. You can feel how protective she is of him. With this pose, I wanted to show longing and frustration as well as a bit of sexiness. Her hip is tilted to one side, as she leans on the post. I keep forgetting I should let you go  But when you look at me  The only memory is us kissing in the moon

Cinderella Beautiful and sad love

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a good week. It's nearly March and with any luck, winter will soon be over. This winter has been so harsh and cold. This latest pose is a romantic, sad couple's pose. It's called Cinderella Beautiful and it's inspired by the Peter Cincotti song of the same name. The song tells the story of a man who is reminiscing about the beautiful lady who he never got to be with. They started out as friends and then they went their separate ways. It just wasn't meant to be. I thought long and hard before I created my interpretation. The man is bent down on one knee and holds her hand. She lets him hold her hand, but she won't look at him. Maybe she still cares about him, but she just doesn't want to be with him. Like April snow blowin around in Gramercy Park The two of us were never meant to last You left your traces and drove away like a circus in town A three-ring show that comes and goes too fast The best of f
