Take a bow...and a fedora

Hi lovelies,

March 8th is Women's Day, did you know that? A friend told me. I hope all you women felt especially valued that day.

Since Cinderella Beautiful, I've started to pay attention to epia. Verone has some great designs. I got his suit from The Men's Dept for Julio, my malt. He just released a fedora; it is mesh and its position can be edited through the Edit menu. You can also resize it by touching it for a menu. The menu even has a color change option. I knew I had to buy it. This hat is unisex too. I might get another one for Vic. :-)

When I see or think of a fedora I am reminded of men like Humphrey Bogart or Clark Gable, men who are polite and charming. They might tip their hat to a lady they walk past on the street.

This pose is for the men. I call it Take A Bow. It might fit for women too. There's just something so appealing when a man tips his hat and bows at the waist to a woman. A woman feels beautiful and respected.

In this day and age, everyone seems to always be in a hurry and men and women don't always acknowledge each other on the street. There are even times women are jostled in public and the man is too distracted to apologize or even nod at her. That did happen in the past but men seemed to be more polite. People smiled more.

The title is the same as Rihanna's song, Take a bow. The song is about a man saying sorry when he is not.

How about a round of applause
A standing ovation

But you put on quite a show
Really had me going.
Now it's time to go
curtain's finally closing.
That was quite a show,
very entertaining.
But it's over now (but it's over now)
Go on and take a bow.

In this song, the man is putting on a show, trying to fool the woman with all his smooth talk and grand gestures. He is handsome and charismatic. This is such an elegant male pose. And in the early years of Hollywood, men were always portrayed as being cavalier, dashing and very charming. Many people, myself included, have favorite actors from that era.

Coming up with the backdrop was difficult. I set up this photo shoot set in my studio. I needed to control the setting. I wanted to convey that jazzy, dignified stage mood like you see in classic movies from the 1940s and even earlier.  Those movies are just so classy and they sybolise Hollywood glamour and the civility of earlier days that is rare in magazines and entertainment these days. I wanted to combine a modern mood with this pose as well so the title is by a modern hit R&B Pop artist, Rihanna.

Rihanna is just so soulful and her voice has a unique quality to it that stands out from most other singers in the industry.

This photo setup is something I put together in my studio. The piano is from Musical Alchemy...really great detail and textures. It is a prim piano and not as low prim as most pianos out there, but still one of the best of its class. I would be interested to see a mesh piano line from Musical Alchemy.

Making a return to blogging

Hi lovelies! I am making a return to blogging. It has been awhile and I know I have missed it. But I knew I needed to focus on my self improvement in the world where I am the typist. Lots of things have been going on in my life. I will not be blogging like before. It will be an infrequent thing but a much needed process that allows me to be creative. It is a type of escape from the rigid requirements that real life can impose on us adults. I have recently created a new shape for the Lelutka Nova head. It is a pretty cool mesh head. Lelutka keeps on improving their mesh heads.  I named my shape Alex . https://flickr.com/photos/victorialenoirre/50906268631/in/dateposted/ Really loving how it turned out. I think my shape creating ability has improved a bunch. After my current class ends in May, I want to start creating shapes for the Lelutka Evo X heads. I am excited to try one out. Take care, V. Her photo is here . I am wearing the Maitreya version. The applier layers are in the Maitreya loader HUD. The Return of Victoria Lenoirre and a new pose!

Hi lovelies! Sorry I've been away so long! My trip was great, but afterwards I got sick. I recovered sometime last week and I finally got inspired to create again. My newest pose is called Stay. It is based on the Rihanna song which features Mikky Echo. I'm really proud of how this photo turned out. I like the water effect a lot. The purple and blue tones create and intensify a sadness that I felt in the song and in the official music video for Stay. Waves come and go and do not stay for more than a minute. The setting for this photo is probably one of the best places I've taken a photo at. Great how that worked out, isn't it? Here's what I wrote at marketplace: A sensual, tender pose inspired by the song Stay by Rihanna. It's such a sad song about wanting to be loved and not wanting to be left behind. I tried to capture that sense of wanting to hold on and not letting go with this pose. Arms are bent into the body, one hand on one arm. The other h...
